McLaughlin Appointed To Licensing Manager At Classic

Classic Media, an Entertainment Rights group company, announced today that it has appointed Colin McLaughlin to the position of Licensing Manager, effective immediately.

Based at the company's headquarters in New York, McLaughlin will report to Karyn Schneider, Vice President, Licensing.

McLaughlin brings to Classic Media a proven track record of developing and executing character and brand-driven retail programs.

As Licensing Manager at Classic Media, he will be responsible for building partnerships in North America with key licensees and retailers, leveraging the company's portfolio of children's and family properties, including CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, GUESS WITH JESS, GUMBY, UNDERDOG, and WHERE'S WALDO?

Previously, McLaughlin was the Senior Manager of Brand Licensing for Steve & Barry's, where he negotiated contracts, managed the product development process, and achieved revenue growth through creative in-store marketing, merchandising, sweepstakes and events.

In January 2007, Steve & Barry's was named "Best Retailer" by LICENSE! GLOBAL MAGAZINE.

McLaughlin is a graduate of Cornell University.
