Rose McGowan and Ron Perlman are rounding out the cast of Nu Image/Millennium Films' CONAN reboot, reports VARIETY. McGowan takes the role of a villainous half-human-half-witch. Perlman is Conan's father after Mickey Rourke dropped out of the project. They join Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Said Taghmaoui and Leo Howard.
Marcus Nispel will direct from a script from Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer, Sean Hood and Andrew Lobel. Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, Joe Gatta and Fredrik Malmberg are producers with Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, George Furla and Henry Winterstern exec producing.
The story follows Conan's search for revenge against those that murdered his father and wiped out his village.
Production began this week in Sofia, Bulgaria. Lionsgate plans to release the film next year.
