McDonald's Happy Meals Catch Surf's Up Wave

McDonald's and Sony Pictures Animation are treating McDonald's youngest guests to the characters from the SURF'S UP movie, beginning June 8, 2007, in McDonald's Happy Meals and Mighty Kids Meals. On the opening day of the new animated movie, from Sony Pictures Animation, through July 5, with the purchase of a Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meal, young guests will receive one of eight SURF'S UP surfing-action toys, while supplies last.

Pen Gu Island's very own Cody Maverick, Lani, Tank, Chicken Joe, Geek, Reggie and Big Z become part of the new Surf's Up Happy Meal and Mighty Kids Meal collection, giving kids and their families a chance to enjoy surfing action-inspired toys, including mix-and-match customizable surfboard inserts. Surf's Up-themed stickers may be placed on the boards and toys for a true make-it-your-own creation. The Happy Meal collection also includes two movie-inspired toys that feature water wave technology.

"School is out and warm weather means fun in the sun," said Kathy Pyle, senior director of family marketing for McDonald's USA. "The action-packed Surf's Up Happy Meal collection inspires kids to be active both on land and in water."

Kids and families may also catch a wave of energy at www.happymeal.com. Starting June 8, guests can log on for fun SURF'S UP online games and offline activities that allow them to earn points to redeem for cool and unique digital rewards. Visitors are encouraged to join the online community of kids to experience the fun and excitement of SURF'S UP at McDonald's.
