McCartney Reveals New Passion With Music & Animation DVD

Sir Paul McCartney reveals a true passion for traditional animation with his new MUSIC & ANIMATION COLLECTION (Miramax Home Ent., $29.99), a DVD first for the ex-Beatle that streets April 13. "Macca," as he's referred to on the disc, serves as exec producer, composer and voice artist on this trio of shorts directed by Geoff Dunbar devoted to childhood innocence and the celebration of animals and nature. They include "Tropic Island Hum," about animal neglect/abuse; "Tuesday," based on the award-winning children's book by David Wiesner about magical frogs; and Rupert and the Frog," about the adorable relationship between a cuddly bear and friendly frog that was originally produced in 1985 to accompany the McCartney feature GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROAD STREET.
