MAXON Opens New Canada Office

New Montreal team to focus on development of MAXON products and SDK Support for strategic partnerships and third-party developers.

Friedrichsdorf, Germany -- MAXON, leading developer of professional 3D software solutions for modeling, painting, animation and rendering officially announced the opening of its new R&D office in Montreal, Canada. Its mission is the further development of the MAXON’s 3D software applications Cinema 4D and BodyPaint 3D for integration into new production and development environments. The team in Montreal is made up of seasoned software developers with a wide range of experience in 3D applications. MAXON plans to grow the team with more talented developers in the near future.

As a development and SDK support center for Cinema 4D and BodyPaint 3D, the MAXON Montreal office will focus on developing innovative technologies that meet the needs of future software generations. The team will also manage and further develop the SDK (Software Development Kit) for MAXON products. “It feels great being part of the MAXON family. The team, led by managing director Jean-Francois Yelle, will support and advise strategic partners as well as plugin developers working on connecting their own applications to MAXON products. “We are creating new opportunities for advancements in 3D authoring solutions. We are building a team with Montreal’s best 3D R&D talents,” states Yelle “and we will use our collective experience to develop technologies that 3D professionals are looking for.”

MAXON is headquartered in Friedrichsdorf, Germany. The Montreal office marks MAXON’s third official office in addition to its others located in Newbury Park, CA, USA and Bedford, Great Britain. MAXON also maintains Competence Centers in Paris, Tokyo and Singapore.
