MASTERSFX Promotes Rebert to FX Producer

MASTERSFX has promoted Dan Rebert to the new position of FX producer. The company is involved in the production of special effects for KINGDOM HOSPITAL, SIX FEET UNDER, STARGATE SG-1 and STARGATE ATLANTIS, among several others.

Rebert originally joined MASTERSFX in 2000 as art director and shop supervisor. Since joining MASTERSFX, he has worked on numerous projects and continues to explore and develop new effects technology.

Rebert received an Emmy Award for leading the creation of the prosthetic bodies and effects that permeated the first season of HBOs SIX FEET UNDER. He was also Emmy-nominated for his work on the third season of SIX FEET UNDER. His film credits include HIDALGO, BABY BOY, ONE HOUR PHOTO, WHITE COATS and WHITE CHICKS, while commercials for Michelin Tires and GOT MILK? have also benefited from his expertise.

Prior to his work with MASTERSFX, Rebert had worked for a number of other leading special effects shops. He was hired as a lead artist for XFX keying such projects as the Showtime pilot STARGATE SG-1, several episodes of OUTER LIMITS, CHARMED and POLTERGEIST. He also oversaw the construction of the frogs for MAGNOLIA, the Patrick Monster from SPECIES II and the organ and lab effects for BICENTENNIAL MAN.

Founded in l986 by Emmy Award winner Todd Masters, MASTERSFX (www.mastersfx.com) is a full-service special effects company headquartered in Arleta, California, with an additional studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The company has designed, created and produced characters, prosthetics, animatronics and makeup effects for hundreds of motion pictures, television programs and commercials.
