Mascara Promoted to VP at Sesame Workshop

Sesame Workshop has promoted Renee Mascara to vp, international TV distribution. She will be responsible for managing Sesame Workshop television program sales, including SESAME STREET co-productions. Mascara will also oversee the creation of an internal resource system measuring broadcaster data as it relates to the organizations program time slots and ratings.

Jennifer Monier-Williams, vp, global TV distribution, said, For over 15 years, Renee has led the way in significantly expanding Sesame Workshops presence worldwide. She was responsible for renewing a 10-year agreement with Germanys NDR for the SESAMSTRASSE co-production and broke new ground when she secured local productions of BIG BAG in the U.K. and France, and RISKY NUMBERS in Poland and Indonesia. Her dedication and reputation in the industry are impeccable and unparalleled.

Previously, Mascara served as associate vp, international television distribution, where she managed television program sales in Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. She has been with Sesame Workshops International Television Distribution group since 1985. Before coming to Sesame Workshop, Mascara spent four years at Columbia Pictures International as marketing assistant to the vp of merchandising.
