Marvin Gleicher New Navarre Corp. DVD Content Acquisition VP

Anime distribution vet Marvin Gleicher joins Navarre Corp. as vp of DVD content acquisition, primary responsibility for acquiring and marketing DVD entertainment content for the companys distribution segment.

Gleicher founded the North America division of Manga Ent. Inc., which specialized in the marketing of Japanese animation. Manga Ent. was acquired by IDT Ent. in 2004, where Gleicher continued to serve as president of Manga Ent. At IDT, Gleichers responsibilities included acquisition, production and development of marketing strategies for entertainment content under the Manga Ent. brand.

Before founding Manga Ent., Gleicher was president of Smash/Island Records where he was instrumental in acquiring music talent for publishing and worldwide distribution in addition to building the visual media and music video product lines.

Marvin comes to Navarre with a tremendous understanding of the DVD video industry. His experience in business development and DVD content acquisitions will be an enormous asset for Navarre.
