Press release from IKinema:

Guildford, UKIKinema™ LTD, creators of IKinema inverse kinematics (IK) solver, announced that Luxology® has integrated their RunTime technology into the freshly released modo 601 – the latest version of its award-winning 3D content creation software. Although known for its game animation middleware, IKinema’s technology is now being used to bring professional rigging and interactive posing capabilities to modo’s new character animation tools.

“Bringing IKinema tech into modo was a smooth process for us,” said Brad Peebler, president and founder of Luxology. “We also found that once it was in, the flexibility of the code allowed us to adapt it to a wide range of applications, from simple-to-use posing tools to sophisticated IK support for complex character rigs. Each an essential piece of the modo 601 character animation experience.”

“Getting animators in touch with their work faster is what we do,” said Alexandre Pechev, CEO of IKinema" And in the right hands, our production-proven easy animation system can do big things for those with big ideas. modo 601 is a great example of that, and we are pleased that our technology will have a hand in making its users’ visions come alive.”
