Luxology Chooses Bonjour for modo 301

Luxology Llc., an independent technology company dedicated to next-generation 3D content creation software, plans to use Bonjour technology from Apple as part of its modo 301 release. This is because Bonjour's "open, standards based networking technology" allows devices to operate together seamlessly. Available for Mac and PC, modo contains both a tightly integrated renderer and a "powerful, realtime subdivision surface modeling engine". The new comprehensive upgrade, which will include Bonjour technology, is scheduled to ship in summer 2007.

"Since Apple introduced Bonjour in 2002, it has been widely adopted by a broad range of companies from major printer vendors to storage device and even personal video recorder manufacturers,â said Ron Okamoto, Appleâs vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. âWe're thrilled that Luxology will take advantage of this technology for use in modo to create instant render farms across both Macs and PCs."
