The Hollywood Reporter writes that Carl Rinsch has left LOGAN'S RUN to focus on his next project 47 RONIN. Both projects where competing to be the commercials director's feature debut and RONIN won when Universal gave it the full greenlight and a tentative release date of Nov. 21, 2012.
RUN has been in development at Warner Bros. for ages. It's planned to be a closer adaptation of William F. Nolan's novel than the 1976 feature adaptation. At one point or another, Bryan Singer, Robert Schwentke and Joseph Kosinski were set to direct. Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman are producing with a script from Alex Garland.
