Little Airplane Names Tom Brown VP, Production And Operations

Little Airplane Productions has named Tom Brown, Vice President, Production and Operations. The announcement was made today by Josh Selig, Founder and President, Little Airplane Productions.

NEW YORK, January 18, 2011, -- Little Airplane Productions has named Tom Brown, Vice President, Production and Operations.  The announcement was made today by Josh Selig, Founder and President, Little Airplane Productions.

Brown has been Head of Production for Little Airplane since 2004.  He joined the company in 2002 as an Assistant Director and subsequently served as a Producer and Head of Production.   Since joining Little Airplane, Tom has overseen the development and production of, “The Wonder Pets!” for Nick Jr., “Oobi!” for Noggin, “3rd & Bird” for Cbeebies, and the upcoming "Small Potatoes" for Cbeebies and Playhouse Disney.

In addition, Tom oversaw the design and construction of Little Airplane’s 12,000 square foot South Street Seaport studio, which includes production and audio facilities and a general store.  Tom set up the company's UK office in 2009 and is directly responsible for the finance and management of both studios and their employees, including producers, artists, musicians and talent.   Finally, Tom established Little Airplane's non-profit "Little Light Foundation," a 5013c, whose first project, "The Olive Branch," is currently airing on Nickelodeon in the US.

In his new role, Tom will be working to build strategic partnerships for Little Airplane and the Little Light Foundation in the areas of sponsorships, publishing, licensing, games, international co-productions and feature films.

Prior to joining Little Airplane, Brown worked on numerous commercials for clients including Polo, Ralph Lauren, NYSE, Canon and Pepsi.  Brown has written an original feature film entitled “531” with partner Rob Goodman that was completed in 2001.  A native of Allentown, PA, Brown is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University.
