THE LOS ANGELES TIMES is reporting that Warner Bros. Pictures is in talks to acquire the feature rights to SPACE INVADERS, a class video game from Japan-based Taito.

Designed by Tomohiro Nishikado and released in 1978, the game was eventually licensed by Midway in the United States. Current plans call for production to go to Mark Gordon, Jason Blum and Guymon Casady.
