Robopocalypse Acquired By DreamWorks and Doubleday

The rights to Daniel H. Wilson's unpublished manuscript ROBOPOCALYPSE have been acquired by DreamWorks Studios and Doubleday, COMINGSOON.NET reports.

The film rights go to DreamWorks, which is planning to put the project into accelerated development. Doubleday acquired the global publishing rights with plans to release the book in 2011.

The story explores the fate of the human race following a robot uprising, explained COMINGSOON.NET.
