RGH Signs Deal with Evolution
LOS ANGELES – Global entertainment company Rubicon Group Holding (RGH) has partnered with Los Angeles-based licensing, merchandising and retail development firm Evolution to represent the company’s entire portfolio of existing and future intellectual properties throughout the global marketplace.
Utilizing the agency’s full spectrum of services, which includes strategic planning, development and execution of large-scale licensing and brand management programs from production to manufacturing and retail distribution, Evolution will serve as the agency of record to monetize RGH’s full slate of content and intellectual properties.
The first IP’s to be handled by Evolution under the new partnership are Asia Lee, an urban-action property now in development at RGH, Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, an animated CG 3-D Stereoscopic feature film currently in production, and Monster In My Pocket, a popular boys IP recently acquired from MEG.
“Evolution’s four principals, Travis J. Rutherford, Adam Unger, Stanley Lerman and Ryan Broomberg, and the rest of the Evolution team, are highly experienced licensing, merchandising and product development professionals who offer a unique, all encompassing approach to merchandising IPs that can fully support RGH’s goal to maximize the potential of all of our properties on a global basis,” said RGH CEO Randa Ayoubi, who made the announcement. “We are thrilled to be working with Evolution and look forward to great success under their proven expertise.”
“Working with a dynamic, rapidly expanding, global multiplatform entertainment company such as RGH gives Evolution an opportunity to expand into new media in addition to working on the company’s premiere theatrical and television franchises currently in the production pipeline,” added Travis J. Rutherford, President, Licensing and Retail, Evolution.
“Our new partnership with Evolution provides a precise portfolio of services and expertise to realize the ambitious branding and merchandising goals we have for RGH’s entertainment, games and themed entertainment divisions, at a time when we are greatly expanding our portfolio of IPs,” said RGH Executive Director North America, David Corbett. “We look forward to a long and profitable relationship with Evolution that will maximize the value of all of our properties and propel RGH into a leading entertainment licensor.”
