Mel Blanc, the master of multiple animated stars such as Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig is being honored, along with his son, in a limited-edition lithograph featuring Warner Bros. characters that Blanc helped make famous.

The poster-size "Passing the Baton: A Tribute to Mel and Noel Blanc" lithographs are numbered, signed and will be personalized by his son, Noel Blanc, who continues his father’s legacy. Produced by Warner Bros. for Great American Ink, the lithos cost $495 (www.cartoongallery.com).

Mel Blanc died in 1989, but made his mark on voice acting decades ago with Bugs Bunny's signature "Eh, what's up, Doc?" Porky Pig's stuttering "Th-th-that's all, f-f-folks" and the distinctive "Meep-Meep" of the Road Runner, amongst many. Blanc successfully led the fight to get voice actors onscreen credit for their work. Up until his battle, studios preferred to maintain a sense of mystery and magic surrounding the character voices.

The lithographs are companion pieces to the top-selling memorial commemorative lithograph produced when Mel Blanc died titled, "Speechless." It shows the cast of Blanc animated characters in mourning, standing with heads bowed in front of an empty microphone.
