Mr. Bean Hits Scandinavia

The animated adventures of MR. BEAN is heading to Scandinavia. The 26 x 30-minute series has been sold to SVT, Sweden and YLE, Finland by Fremantle International Distribution, which distributes both the original live-action series and the animated series. SVT will start to broadcast the series on December 23, 2002 and it will run through early February. The series launch date on YLE is still to be announced. MR. BEAN producer Tiger Aspect has also signed a deal with Universal for the video and DVD rights to the animated series for Sweden and Finland. MR. BEAN's worldwide popularity is growing. Fremantle has previously concluded sales for the animated series in a number of territories including ABC, Australia; Walt Disney Television, Asia; CYBC, Cyprus; CBC, Canada; Productora Canaria De Television SA, Canary Islands; RTE, Ireland; Super RTL, Germany; ATV, Hong Kong; PT Surya Citra Televisi - SCTV, Indonesia; NCP, Israel; FYR Macedonia and Bosnia Hercegovina; CLT UFA SA, The Netherlands; TV3, New Zealand; RTP, Portugal; Nationa1 1 TV, Romania; SABC, South Africa; Mediacorp, Singapore; Television Autonomica Valencia SA, Spain; Canal Sur Television, Spain and Prava I Prevodi, Yugoslavia.
