Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the global branding and merchandising arm of Cartoon Network, has inked new apparel deals for its hit properties, BEN 10 and THE POWERPUFF GIRLS. CNE announced two new licensing agreements with SGFootwear and ODM for BEN 10. Additionally, CNE has partnered with fashion design studio Mighty Fine on a multi-year deal to develop a line of POWERPUFF knit top tops, t-shirts and fleece tops for the juniors’ and tweens’ markets.

For BEN 10, the companies will produce product inspired by the network’s new hit action adventure series with t-shirts arriving in stores this fall and shoes available in spring of 2007.

ODM (Olaes Design and Marketing) specializes in the young mens and boys market. They will develop long and short sleeved t-shirts and sweatshirts in sizes 8-20 featuring images of the BEN 10 alien heroes. The product will be available in mid-tier and department stores beginning this fall.

SGFootwear has secured the rights to produce a full line of BEN 10 branded product ranging from athletics to flip-flops. The line will pair what is trending in footwear with innovative technology and bold graphics and will be available nationwide in spring of 2007.

“We are excited to bring the action and appeal of Ben 10 to market in these core categories,” said Christina Miller, vp of U.S. consumer products for CNE. “ODM and SGFootwear are leaders in design and innovation in their respective categories. Their products are fashion forward and on the mark for our fan base.”

For THE POWERPUFF GIRLS, the clothing will feature the original sugary-sweet heroines, icons and logos from the show with a retro edge and will sport the hearts, flowers and candy-colored palette of the series. The line will be sold through specialty and boutique stores as well as upscale department stores beginning this fall. Prices will range from $25 to $50.

“THE POWERPUFF GIRLS is an incredible consumer products success story that has continued to thrive in a global marketplace for nearly seven years,” said Miller. "So the timing is right to bring Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup to this age group, the girls who have grown up with them.”

“POWERPUFF GIRLS have really grown into an ever green brand,” said Justin Watson, marketing director Mighty Fine “We are excited to partner with Cartoon Network and expand THE POWERPUFF GIRLS into the fashion retail market.”

CNE is charged with building consumer product franchises for Cartoon Network, its brands and characters from the channel's growing library of award-winning original programming. CNE also works to secure and support long-term licensee partnerships across all key merchandising categories.
