Lasseter to Receive Honorary Art Directors Guild Award

In anticipation of FINDING NEMO's upcoming awards blitz, the Art Directors Guild will honor Pixar's John Lasseter with its coveted honorary Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award at a Feb. 14 ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Cinematic Imagery Award is voted from time to time to an individual whose body of work in the film business has richly enhanced the visual aspects of the movie-going experience. Past recipients include Clint Eastwood, Blake Edwards, Robert Wise, Frank Oz and Norman Jewison.

Lasseter, the two-time Academy Award-winning director, animator and exec vp, creative, is currently in production on his fourth feature, CARS, to be released in 2005.
