Larry Lieberman to Head Marketing for Virgin Comics/Virgin Animation

Larry Lieberman joins Virgin Comics Llc./Virgin Animation as chief marketing officer, to overseeing the company's U.S. operations, Global Licensing Business, Strategic Marketing, Publishing and Advertising Sales Divisions. Lieberman is also charged to grow the company's worldwide online and wireless content initiatives.

He will be based in New York City, working closely with Sharad Devarajan, ceo, Virgin Comics/Virgin Animation, to whom he reports.

"Larry brings to this role a deep understanding of both the creative and business aspects of the entertainment industry," said Devarajan. "He has extensive experience with the media platforms that are most important to our long term success, and the dedication, passion and vision that are necessary to lead our international venture into the future."

Formerly an executive with Comedy Central, Warner Music Group and MTV, Lieberman has had great success building successful media and licensing businesses in the U.S. and internationally. Most recently Lieberman was president of the entertainment marketing agency, Forever Wild, a post he held since 2002.
