Allentown Prods. has acquired the rights to the Knott's Berry Farm amusement park ride Calico Ghost Town, VARIETY reports. Allentown director of development Chris W. King and Allentown head documentary filmmaker James Moll will produce.
The family chiller will be set in the boom days of the mining town, which is taken over by ghosts and supernatural beasts.
Moll said he will announce financing partners, the writer and the director for the project later in the summer.
