KidsCo, the joint venture channel owned by leading media companies NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Ent. and Corus Ent. has finalized a significant content agreement with distributor, Fireworks International.
The agreement sees KidsCo acquiring a raft of leading children's titles for broadcast across KidsCo's Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan African feed for spring 2009. Programming licensed to KidsCo by Fireworks International includes 100 DEEDS FOR EDDIE MCDOWD, CHUCK FINN, EVEN STEVENS, FERGUS MCPHAIL, OCEAN STAR: THE QUEST, SCOUT'S SAFARI SEASON, SECRET AGENT MEN and STREETSMARTZ.
KidsCo's programming slate includes animated and live-action television series and feature-length movies from pre-eminent, independent programming suppliers including Cookie Jar, Corus' Nelvana, Iconix, Sesame Workshop, TV Loonland, Entertainment Rights, Daro Film and Decode. Programming featured on the channel includes much-loved children's favourites such as THE WIGGLES, INSPECTOR GADGET, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, NEW ADVENTURES OF MADELINE, BABAR, FRANKLIN and ROLIE POLIE OLIE.
The channel is now broadcasting in key territories around the world including Germany, Spain, Romania, Ukraine, the Middle East, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong and countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
