KidsCo Launches International Online Store

KidsCo, the joint venture channel owned by media companies NBC Universal, DIC Ent. and Corus Ent. have launched a dedicated KidsCo branded international online store. The e-commerce store is available at www.kidscotv.tv.

The new KidsCo online store, which is a key component of KidsCo's broader web strategy, will feature KidsCo branded items as well as themed generic product, and offers the opportunity for partners to extend their product reach, presence and profile in an online environment. The e-commerce store extends the channel's offering in territories around the world. The store will be available in all territories where the channel has a presence and will be available in the local language.

KidsCo's online store has been built and will be operated by Internet TV Productions, one of the leading suppliers of online retail services in the entertainment sector. The launch of the store will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign, including TV spots across KidsCo's international feeds.

The launch of KidsCo's e-commerce store further enhances KidsCo's strategic expansion into the world's prime TV markets. The channel is now broadcasting in key territories around the world including Spain, Romania, Ukraine, the Middle East, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong and countries across sub-Saharan Africa. It is anticipated that KidsCo will be airing in up to 40 territories, including Europe and Latin America, within the next 18 months.

KidsCo features renowned animated and live-action television series and feature-length movies from independent animation program suppliers DIC and Corus' Nelvana. DIC's programming library features approximately 3,000 half-hours of top quality series, including; INSPECTOR GADGET, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, MADELINE, DENNIS THE MENACE and CARE BEARS.

With more than 3,200 half-hours of kids' programming, Nelvana Enterprises' catalogue features international favorites such as BABAR, FRANKLIN, THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN and ROLIE POLIE OLIE.
