Ang Lee's LIFE OF PI has added Irrfan Khan, Gerard Depardieu and Adil Hussain to its cast, reports Variety. Newcomer Suraj Sharma will star as a boy who gets stranded on a boat in the ocean with a Bengal tiger, a hyena, a zebra and an orangutan. Khan (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE) takes the role of an adult Pi. Depardieu is set for the role of The Chef. Hussain is playing Pi's father and Bollywood star Tabu is in talks to play Pi's mother. David Magee penned the adaptation of Yann Martel's novel. Gil Netter and David Womark are the producers. The 3-D production is set to hit theaters on Dec. 14, 2012.
