Julie Fischer Joins Pixeldust Studios

Pixeldust Studios welcomes Julie Fischer as its new Senior Visual Effects Producer.

Bethesda, MD-- Pixeldust Studios has named Julie Fischer as its new Senior Visual Effects Producer. The announcement was made by Ricardo Andrade, Founder/Chief Creative Officer, Pixeldust Studios.

Mr. Andrade said, “Julie is a world-class visual effects producer, having worked with many of the world’s leading visual effects production companies. Her projects have covered every possible aspect of media, including feature films and documentaries, television specials and series, commercials, and multi-media presentations. We are delighted to be welcoming her to our Pixeldust family.”

Having worked with world-class VFX and post production companies based in Iceland, London, Beijing, and across the U.S., Julie Fischer was most recently Senior Visual Effects Producer with Framestore in Reykjavik, Iceland. There she was involved with VFX on the upcoming feature film 2 Guns, starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.

Fischer began her career in VFX working with Digital Domain on such films as Dante’s Peak and The Fifth Element. While with Rhythm & Hues, she was involved with the feature film End of Days, and, earlier, she worked with the Disney-owned Dream Quest Images.

As DI Producer with Technicolor Creative Services while based in New York City, Fischer worked on numerous commercials and films, including the much heralded indie film Station Agent, and the popular documentary about the band Metallica, Some Kind of Monster. She also worked with Technicolor in Beijing, PRC. As a DI Producer with NY’s PostWorks, she worked on the acclaimed documentaries Why We Fight and No Direction Home, among other projects.

In addition to the positions cited above, Fischer also produced for such prominent companies as The Mill, Imaginary Forces, DIVE, and Click 3X.

She previously worked with Pixeldust Studios on the critically acclaimed PBS/Nova series entitled “Fabric of the Cosmos,” as that series’ VFX Producer.
