Jon Robertson Joins VFX House Mokko

Jon Robertson joins visual effects house Mokko Studio as head of business development for Los Angeles.

With its new presence in Los Angeles, Montreal-based visual effects house Mokko Studio has brought aboard Jon Robertson as head of new business development.

Robertson was previously with Technicolor for more than 25 years, first heading up its Vancouver facilities, then moving to Hollywood where he oversaw the expansion of Technicolor’s North American headquarters.

Beginning in the late 1990’s, Robertson led an operational team of 80 employees at Technicolor Vancouver and headed up sales efforts that helped to transform the Vancouver area into a leading post production center for “A-list” feature films and television series. During this time Robertson oversaw more than 400 feature film projects.

As General Manager of Technicolor Hollywood he oversaw completion services for feature films and TV series simultaneously, all the while doubling revenue through business development  Jon Robertsoninitiatives during a five year period. In addition, Robertson was also Project Manager in the build out of Technicolor’s new North American headquarters, a 115,000 square-foot facility on Sunset and Gower.
