JimJam Orders Up Slim Pig

Irish-produced 39x7 preschool series SLIM PIG has been sold to international preschool channel JimJam, which will be available across European cable and satellite platforms in December, with Africa and the Middle East to follow in 2008.

SLIM PIG, targeted at kids 1-4, is about the adventures of a 2-D pig in a 3-D world who can fold himself into any shape or thing he wants, getting him and his friends out of all sorts of trouble. The series airs on CBC Canada, where it tops the ratings across all Canadian kids channels in its timeslot, and it has just sold to Universal Canada for DVD and SVT in Sweden. The first 13 episodes have already aired in Scandinavia on SVT, YLE and TV2 and in the UK on CITV and Cartoon Network, as well as 35 other territories worldwide.

Distributor Monster is also busy with the rest of its catalogue, including LIFEBOAT LUKE (52x5), a search and rescue adventure for kids 4-7; HERMIE AND FRIENDS (13x30); preschool series I'M AN ANIMAL (52x2); PAWS AND TALES (13x30), a place of adventure where animals talk and biblical principles are taught in a fun and memorable way; ADVENTURES IN BOOGA BOOGA LAND (10x11); non-dialogue series JUNGLE BEAT (13x5); and half-hour shorts ANNA AND THE MOODS, HAUNTED HOGMANAY and BANJO THE WOODPILE CAT.
