NEW YORK, NY, February 17, 2011—J.G. Wentworth launches the next round of commercials in their longtime “It’s Your Money” campaign—this time animating their spokesman...‘J.G. Wentworth’ himself!

In an effort to keep the momentum going for J.G. Wentworth, the financial services firm that specializes in purchasing structured settlements and annuities from individuals, creative shop Karlin+Pimsler breaks through by using classic 2D animation in the two new commercials for the ongoing campaign.

“This is a new chapter in our marketing story as we continue to build excitement behind the latest campaign with the J.G. character, with his animated personality,” said Phil Donahue, J.G. Wentworth CMO. “The spots communicate the emotions, needs and solutions for J.G. Wentworth’s current and future customers.

The campaign and ad agency, Karlin+Pimsler has won a shelf full of advertising awards, as the creative stands out and breaks through traditional direct response advertising.  The new 30 second TV spots, “Glass Box” and “Chasing Money” launch on Monday, February 21, and, as always, end with the J.G. Wentworth spokesman telling customers that “It’s your money, use it when you need it.” However, this time he’s a cartoon character.

“There is built-in pressure when something has a lot of success and you’re trying to follow up,” said Mal Karlin, President and Executive Creative Director of Karlin+Pimsler. “The spots have a big following on YouTube including fan parodies and mash-ups, plus it’s a direct response campaign, so we have to create leads coupled with compelling entertainment.”
