Jetpack Distribution Blasts off at Annecy

A partnership between Nerd Corps Entertainment, Samka Productions and Gardiner Entertainment, Jetpack Distribution comprises a team of multi-skilled, experienced kids’ TV experts with a global reach.

A new kids’ TV distribution company, Jetpack Distribution, will lift off at Annecy 2014.

Helmed by former Disney TV executive Dominic Gardiner, Jetpack Distribution’s mission is to distribute top-quality TV content for kids and family audiences around the globe, direct-selling to broadcasters and digital platforms while ensuring flexible and competitive terms for producers.

Jetpack is a partnership between Nerd Corps Entertainment, Samka Productions and Gardiner Entertainment, and comprises a team of multi-skilled, experienced kids-TV experts with a global reach. The founders’ industry knowledge and diverse backgrounds give them a unique understanding of producers’ needs in today’s market.

Jetpack is its founders’ response to an ever-changing industry, where independent producers are faced with rising production costs, decreasing resources, and demands for higher-quality, more expensive products. Producers must close a greater number of presales than ever before to profit. Jetpack ensures more flexible and competitive terms for producers than what the current marketplace offers.

“We launched Jetpack Distribution to service content buyers and platforms across the globe with the highest quality programming. Our mission is to ensure our producers recoup their investment quickly, allowing them to focus on what they do best -- producing more great content,” said Jetpack CEO Dominic Gardiner. “But equally important is understanding the needs of the buyers, and in so doing, offering expertise and quality assurances for both parties.”

“We recognized that there was a very powerful opportunity for ourselves and other producers to combine the distribution rights of great properties under one company in order to expand our global reach,” Ken Faier, President of Nerd Corps, and Samuel Kaminka, CEO of Samka Productions, said in a joint statement. “There are more and more platforms evolving for great content and by aligning great shows together we can create new opportunities for our content. Jetpack has the connections to sell our catalogues all over the world and the flexibility to keep up with a constantly shifting industry landscape and allows our respective companies to focus on creating some of the best kids’ cartoons on the market. It’s a clear new alternative for independent producers like us and promises to get kids’ properties off the ground with speed and power like never before.”

Headquartered in London, with offices in Paris, Toronto and Vancouver, Jetpack offers the highest quality series from Nerd Corps and Samka Productions (including Jamie’s Got Tentacles, Endangered SpeciesSlugterraLeague of Super EvilRated A for AwesomeInvisible Network of KidsStorm Hawks, and Babioles) and is actively seeking other quality content from talented producers for global distribution.
