Jean-Paul Frenay Joins Not To Scale Directorial Roster

With a diverse portfolio that includes work for Nike, Nescafe and Volkswagen, director and visual artist Jean-Paul Frenay joins the Not To Scale roster of multi-disciplined filmmakers.

Director and Multidisciplinary Visual Artist Jean-Paul Frenay New York, NY -- Production and animation studio Not To Scale welcomes Belgium-based film director and multidisciplinary visual artist Jean-Paul Frenay. The studio will represent him for his work in the US where he will continue to push the limits of storytelling.

Executive Producer Santino Sladavic couldn’t be happier, “I am over the moon about this signing. JP has an amazing knack for storytelling using a plethora of techniques. His work expands our capabilities and bolsters our roster immensely in the realm of live action and VFX.”

His mastery of multiple techniques allows him to create complex works that seamlessly combine live action shots, stop motion animation, CGI, photography and countless other filmmaking methods. Jean-Paul’s projects have afforded him features in numerous festivals and publications including Onedotzero, Stash, IDN, OFFF, Motionographer, Shots and Repérages.

Jean-Paul began his directing career creating visually stunning commercials for major brands including Volkswagen, Nike, and Nescafe and independent short, Artificial Paradise, Inc. Jean-Paul also creates visuals and interactive installations for plays, choreographies, and experimental work, is a talented photographer, and composes music with his electro rock band, I, The Phoenix.
