Sunrise, FL -- Jazwares announced that it is creating figures and plush based on several classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters as part of a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP). Products hit toy aisles nationwide in early August 2012 and rollouts will continue into the fall and feature familiar faces from eight popular Hanna-Barbera properties, including The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear, Space Ghost, Secret Squirrel, Captain Caveman and Hong Kong Phooey.
"We are delighted to add Hanna-Barbera to our portfolio of licenses, and to create figures and plush based on some of the most well-known cartoon characters of all time,” said Laura Zebersky, executive vice president global sales, Jazwares. “Hanna-Barbera shows are iconic, and resonate with consumers of all ages. We’re sure that fans and collectors alike will be excited to see their favorite retro series, like The Flintstones and The Jetsons, brought back to life in the toy aisle.”
Jazwares’ Hanna-Barbera plush line includes a 12-inch pull-string plush with sound and plush deluxe sets. The Hanna-Barbera line of figures features a 3-inch articulated assortment, 2-inch collector’s sets and 6-inch figures.

During its existence, Hanna-Barbera Productions created over 70 wholesome and popular animated movies and television series for families. With a total of eight Emmys and seven Oscars, Hanna-Barbera Productions set a precedent for the animation industry, achieving series pickup on all four top national television networks and popularizing the term ‘Saturday Morning Cartoons.’ Fifty years since their original airdate, many Hanna-Barbera series continue to air in syndication around the globe.
