PorchLight Ent. announced the appointment of MAX Ent. (MAX) as its new representative in Middle and South East Asia. Under the agreement, MAX will exclusively handle licensing and merchandising rights for PorchLights flagship preschool brand JAY JAY THE JET PLANE throughout Malaysia, Singapore, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East.
In making the announcement, Caren Shalek, PorchLights svp, worldwide consumer products, said, We are excited to have MAX as part of our team as we concentrate on expanding the JAY JAY presence throughout Asia. They clearly understand the marketplace and have a strong grasp of what it takes to bring the brand to its full potential.
MAX and PorchLight will work together to build the brand in Asia through television, licensing and promotional activities. Sponsorships will also be a key factor in adding value to the brand.

The award-winning preschool series encourages kids to be imaginative and have fun while learning, and also instills good family values starting from a young age. It has been one of the strongest rated preschool series on PBS in the U.S. where it has been running for the past 3 years. The show is also seen in Australia, Latin America, Europe and the U.K. In June, JAY JAY will launch in Israel on IETV and broadcast on Israeli nationwide, terrestrial Channel 1 and also on cable Channel 23.
