Janice Ross To Head U.S. Children's Programming For Lego

LEGOMedia, the entertainment division of LEGO, has promoted Janice Rossto head of U.S. children's programming. In her new position, Rosswill oversee a variety of development, production and marketingactivities for LEGO Media and its growing slate of children'sprogramming, which includes the CGI-animated, direct-to-video featureBIONICLE: THE MASK OF LIGHT, based on the company's successfulBionicle characters and storyline. Previously, Ross was seniorlicensing manager for the company. She will continue to be based inLos Angeles and report to U.K.-based Conny Kalcher, global vicepresident of children's programming for LEGO Media. Since joiningLEGO in 2000, Ross has worked on a number of high-profile licensingand merchandising programs, including HARRY POTTER, SPIDER-MAN andGALIDOR: DEFENDERS OF THE OUTER DIMENSION. Prior to joining LEGO,Ross was account supervisor for Simon Marketing, where she managedpromotional activities for clients like express.com and Hallmark.Before moving into licensing and marketing, Ross spent 10 years infilm and television development, most notably as a director and thenvice president at Carolco Pictures from 1992-1995.
