Well Go USA has bought the North American rights to Jackie Chan's 1911 with plans to release it day-and-date in the States and China, writes The Hollywood Reporter.

Well Go USA has bought the North American rights to Jackie Chan's 1911 with plans to release it day-and-date in the States and China, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The historical epic tells the story of the formation of the Republic of China when Sun Yat-sen's nationalists displaced the Qing Dynasty. Winston Chao stars as Sun with Chan playing one of his soldiers.

Chan and Zhang Li co-directed the film. Jackie and JJ Prods. and the Shanghai Film Group produced.

Well Go made its mark releasing Asian productions in the North American home entertainment market. It has since branched out to theatrical distribution, most recently releasing IP MAN 2.
