Maggy Harris

ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has announced the appointment of Maggy Harris as its new Head of Brand Marketing, Consumer Products. She will report to Giles Ridge, Director of Content and Brand Development, and will also be a key part of the Consumer Products team headed up by Trudi Hayward, SVP, Head of Global Merchandise and Jean-Philippe Randisi, EVP, Consumer Products.

In her new role Maggy will be responsible for strategic and operational brand marketing support across merchandising, retail and promotions within ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment. This wide-ranging role involves key liaison with licensors, as well as researching and pitching for new brands and, alongside the existing marketing team, developing core marketing support for ITV Consumer Products brands such as Cut the Rope, Thunderbirds, Matt Hatter and Babar, as well as their licensees and retail partners.

Maggy comes to ITVS GE as a highly respected licensing industry professional with 25 years’ experience in the business across all aspects of merchandise licensing, including TV/entertainment, art and design, brands, lifestyle and interactive — both in the UK and internationally.

Her recent roles include the successful establishment of independent licensing and brand management company Ignition Licensing. Before working with Ignition she held senior roles for a number of respected agencies and brand owners including Copyrights, DRi and Hallmark, working across a diverse portfolio of brands from Forever Friends, Bananas in Pyjamas and Juicy Lucy Designs to Fraggle Rock and Land Rover.

Maggy Harris says: "I am thrilled to be joining such a well-regarded organisation — but especially to be playing a part in the growth of ITVS GE Consumer Products. This division is working with a portfolio of properties that are not only popular and high quality but also diverse and multi-format. ITVS GE has already scored many impressive hits — but I believe these are only the first steps to even greater success.”

Giles Ridge says, “As the demands of a successful business grow it’s important to find the right people to manage that growth. We were especially keen to appoint someone who could build on the successful activity implemented by the brand team to date and further enhance our marketing function, strategy and support. Maggy Harris has just the experience we are looking for. We are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
