Kids' WB! is celebrating the holidays throughout the month of December with the tube sock named Holiday Sock hosting the programming block. On Dec. 11 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm ET), the network invites viewers to the fourth annual "Holiday Sock Party" from the North Pole. From more than 10,000 entries received, eight lucky kids will have their wishes granted.
Kids' WB!'s Saturday morning schedule also will be highlighted by all-new episodes of TEEN TITANS, XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN, twice the treat of POKÉMON ADVANCED CHALLENGE and a very merry Christmas episode of ¡MUCHA LUCHA! GIGANTE, entitled "The Match Before Christmas" when Rikochet, Flea and Buena Girl must put the smackdown on an evil Santa in order to save Christmas. This series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation, also will wrestle its way back onto the weekday lineup, beginning Dec. 13, at 3:30 pm ET, along with animé-hit POKÉMON in the 3:00 pm ET time period.
During the morning of Dec. 18, kids also will be invited to participate in the "Guess Who's In The Sock Sweepstakes." Four-hundred lucky viewers will have the opportunity to win one of 200 G.I. JOE: VALOR VS. VENOM Thunderwing Jet With Slipstream Action Figure or one of 200 Furreal Friends Luv Cubs from Hasbro Inc. To be eligible to win, kids must identify "characters that pop out of the sock" during Kids' WB!'s Saturday morning lineup (8:00 am - 12:00 pm ET/7:00 am - 11:00 am PT) and enter the sweepstakes by logging onto www.KidsWB.com.
On Dec. 25, Kids' WB! will celebrate Christmas morning with a festive lineup of holiday favorites, including The WB's primetime specials A SCOOBY-DOO CHRISTMAS at 8:00 am ET / 7:00 am PT and GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER (9:00 - 10:00 am ET / 8:00 - 9:00 am PT). In addition, an encore presentation of THE ¡MUCHA LUCHA! GIGANTE Christmas-themed episode will air at 8:30 am ET / 7:30 am PT.
A SCOOBY-DOO CHRISTMAS, produced by Warner Bros. Animation, follows the Gang as they stumble upon the quaint town of Winter Hollow. They quickly discover that strangers are not welcome and Christmas is not discussed due to a ghostly headless snowman who appears every Yuletide to destroy people's houses, along with their holiday joy. To Shaggy and Scooby's dismay, Fred, Daphne and Velma decide to spend a chilling Christmas Eve at the local inn to solve the mystery of the snowman and bring the spirit of Christmas back to Winter Hollow.
GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER, loosely based on the 1979 song with music and lyrics by Randy Brooks, is a goofy and heartwarming holiday escapade. Young Jake Spankenheimer's beloved Grandma goes missing on Christmas Eve. To the disbelief of his doting parents, rebellious sister and fun-loving Grandpa, Jake sets out on the quest of a lifetime -- to save the family store from his conniving, greedy cousin Mel, track down Grandma and prove that Santa Claus is indeed real.
