Last year’s festival attracted around 50.000 visitors and approximately 2.000 accredited guests. Industry professionals value the high quality of the programme, the numerous workshops, lectures, information meetings, and presentations as they provide a unique opportunity to make contacts and familiarize oneself with the latest developments. Artistic animation films and the support of young talents represent the core of the Festival. The competitive sections with prize money of over 50.000 Euros, attract the best and newest animation films from around the world. With the Animation Production Day (APD) a joint venture from the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film and FMX, organized by Michael Schmetz Mediaconsult, the Festival has established another important business platform.
