MICHAEL JACKSON'S THIS IS IT came out on top for Sony in its opening weekend, Oct. 30-Nov.1, raking in $23 million. Paramount's PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, now its sixth week, continued to hold strong at #2 for the weekend, earning $16.3 million.

Overture's LAW ABIDING CITIZEN jumped a few spots in its third week to #3, earning $7.4 million. COUPLES RETREAT raked in $6.4 million and the #4 spot for Universal in its fourth week.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE brought in $5.9 million at #5 for Warner Bros. in its third week. Saw VI came in at #6 for its second week, earning $5.2 million for Lionsgate. ASTRO BOY from Summit came in #7, earning $3.5 million. THE STEPFATHER came in #8 in its third week, earning $3.2 million.

Universal's CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT earned $3.1 million and the #9 slot in its opening weekend. AMELIA from Fox Searchlight earned $3 million and the #10 spot in its second week.

CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, now in its seventh week, dropped to #11 and brought in $2.75 million over the weekend. Sony's ZOMBIELAND earned $2.6 million for Sony in its fifth week.
