iStopMotion for iPad Now Offers In-App Theater

Boinx Software’s iPad app just updated with a new theater featuring the best of user videos, integration with iCloud, better image quality through Exposure and White Balance customization, and more.

Press release from Boinx Software:

Puchheim, Germany -- Boinx Software released the 1.4 version of its iStopMotion for iPad, which now features an in-app theater, transforming the iPad into the new silver screen for viewing fellow iStopMotion animators’ creations, integration with iCloud, and faster transferring of images from the iStopMotion Remote Camera 1.4 to the iPad. Two exposure modes and the newly available option to customize the white balance setting allow users to perfect movies with more vibrant, natural-looking images.

“For us, one of the most rewarding aspects of our work is seeing all the great stop motion and time lapse movies people are creating with iStopMotion for iPad. And we know that our customers also enjoy being inspired by other people’s creations as well as sharing their own work, which they can now do with the brand new Theater,” comments Oliver Breidenbach, CEO, Boinx Software. “We are also very proud that iStopMotion for iPad has been named by PCWorld as one of the five essential iOS apps for photographers. Adding white balance and continuous exposure settings proves our commitment to enabling customers to shoot in the best possible quality.”

iStopMotion for iPad 1.4 Highlights Include:

A New Theater to Enjoy iStopMotion for iPad Movies Visit the brand new in-app Theater to view and be inspired by what others create with iStopMotion for iPad. Users can also submit their own work to be considered for inclusion. The Theater can also be accessed via the Boinx Software website.

iCloud Integration When sharing a clip via email, the movie automatically uploads to iCloud (when an account is set up and configured on the iPad) and sends the receiver a link to view the movie rather than a large file attachment, which often exceeds the sending limits of email servers.

Two Modes for Exposure When shooting movies in iStopMotion for iPad, especially when shooting time lapse movies of sunsets where the light changes considerably over time, users can now set the exposure to continuously adapt, creating a more natural looking movie.

White Balance Customization Setting Different lighting alters how the camera sees color. Manually setting the white balance makes for more natural, vibrant colors in your iStopMotion for iPad movies.

Faster Image Transfers From the New iStopMotion Remote Camera 1.4 Frames captured with the new iStopMotion Remote Camera version 1.4 are now automatically compressed, speeding up the image transfer and reducing network bandwidth while maintaining superb image quality.
