IRIDAS Presents All-New Product Lineup at NAB

IRIDAS is presenting a full lineup of new products at NAB 2005 including FrameCycler Digital Daily System (DDS) 3.5, FrameCycler Professional 3.5, SpeedGrade DI and SpeedGrade On Set. The SpeedGrade products represent both ends of the world's first unbroken color pipeline from filming through post-production and finishing. FrameCycler is the first 2K playback technology to run on the Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. IRIDAS is located at booth SL5501 (nVidia exhibit) and can be contacted by calling (818) 951-8927.

While all IRIDAS products operate as stand-alone applications, they are designed to work within a pipeline, alongside other applications. FrameCycler Professional 3.5, for example will be demonstrated with Shake integration on Mac OS X systems at the Apple booth. And both of the new FrameCycler 3.5 products are able to playback calibrated, color corrected sequences from SpeedGrade on any NVIDIA FX graphics card-equipped workstation.

"IRIDAS products leverage the latest capabilities in NVIDIA Quadro graphics hardware, putting pixel shader technology to excellent use in film and video post-production work," said Jeff Brown, gm of professional products at NVIDIA. "SpeedGrade and the new FrameCycler products open up a whole new world of possibilities in color correction on full resolution digital intermediates"

"FrameCycler DDS is a cut above the competition; it's fast, and saves us a lot of time," said Brett Feeney, digital supervisor at Animal Logic which has completed VFX work on HERO, THE MATRIX, THE MATRIX RELOADED, MOULIN ROUGE and many other feature films.

"Adding FrameCycler and SpeedGrade support to our cineSpace calibration system was an obvious move," said Didier Elzinga, ceo of Rising Sun Research. "These applications are at the heart of so many of our clients' pipelines and IRIDAS just keeps pushing the technology forward."

IRIDAS products will be at several exhibits at NAB 2005. Apple will present FrameCycler Professional 3.5 at their booth and FrameCycler DDS 3.5 in its demo suites. IRIDAS will present a fully equipped demo pod at the nVidia booth along with a demo suite at the Las Vegas Hilton. IRIDAS partners, including DVC, Ciprico, Arri, Kinetta, and others, will also feature IRIDAS technology at the show.

IRIDAS (www.iridas.com) first introduced uncompressed realtime playback in 2001. It continues to be the leading developer of resolution-independent playback and non-destructive color grading technologies for film, broadcast, entertainment, and scientific research. IRIDAS was founded in 2000 and is an independent, privately held company headquartered in Munich, Germany.
