iO Film Has Time For Hawkey

Newly-formed digital film finishing boutique iO Film adds Adam Hawkey as a lead compositor and color timer. Prior to joining iO Film, Hawkey has been freelancing at effects and post-production houses in Hollywood, including Rhythm & Hues, Amalgamated Pixels and Catalyst FX. Hawkey helped create and run THE WUBBULOUS WORLD OF DR. SEUSS, the first virtual set television show for Jim Henson Productions and Nickelodeon. After the second season of that series, Hawkey went on to composite and technical direct the opening sequence of YOU'VE GOT MAIL for Warner Bros., which he finished at Sony Pictures Imageworks. Hawkey began his career in New York City at LRP Video, a music video and commercial post, from 1989-94, where he ultimately created that company's 3D/graphics division. He also worked in London, where he was involved in the animation and compositing of a "virtual world" with live-action characters for Phillips Media's first interactive CD-ROM game VIRTUAL NIGHTCLUB. Launched in 2002 by Tim Krubsack, Bruce Johnson and Howard Cohen, iO Film is a full-service, digital film finishing boutique in North Hollywood, California. You can check them out at www.iofilm.net.
