Shockwave.com announced a production pact with Artists Management Group (AMG). As part of the deal, shockwave.com will provide a US$10 million fund for AMG and its clients to develop animated content for distribution on the site. All work produced through the deal will be co-owned by both companies. Additionally, AMG and its affiliates will help shockwave cut deals in other entertainment mediums. "This partnership will allow us to provide even more opportunity for AMG’s roster of clients," said Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, head of the AMG Animation Group. "shockwave.com is already a recognized leader in providing Internet content, and together we’ll be able to meld artists and creators under one Web site and explore opportunities in traditional and new mediums." Stefanie Henning, vice president of content acquisitions at shockwave.com, said, "We’re excited by the prospect of working with AMG's diverse roster of talent. We look forward to working with the AMG team to develop next generation entertainment content for the Web." The AMG Animation group represents over 125 animation artists, writers, producers, creators and directors, that include the creators of RUGRATS and RECESS, the producers of television’s DARIA, ANGRY BEAVERS and FUTURAMA and various creative talent from KING OF THE HILL, DILBERT, GODZILLA and MEN IN BLACK.
