Konami Digital Ent. Inc. has shipped TRACK & FIELD CHALLENGE, an original TV Plug and Play videogame that lets children compete in a virtual decathlon. Using a custom gaming mat, players will only need a television to take part in more than seven different sports events.

TRACK & FIELD CHALLENGE connects directly to any TV without the use of a game console. Featuring such track and field events as the 100-meter dash, javelin throw and high jump, the game allows players to run in place and jump on the gaming mat to re-create the on-screen action as if they were taking part in an actual decathlon. The game also features three unlockable events, as well as the ability for players to monitor how many calories they have burned at the end of each gameplay session. Each of the game's events can be played together with another person using just one gaming mat.
