Shockwave.com announced Jim Belushi will join their ranks to create an animated show entitled THE GREEDY SHOW. The deal calls for 13 episodes and will debut before the end of the calendar year. Each two to five-minute episode is expected to contain several sketches with recurring characters. Belushi, who began his career as a member of Chicago's legendary Second City Improvisation Troupe, will be joined in the cast by fellow Second City alumni Danny Breen, Mark Belzman, John Rubano and Michael McCarthy, as well as Sue Nelson from the Los Angeles-based improv group The Groundlings. Chris Nowak and Christophe Abiragi will serve as the head scribes. "I'm really happy to have shockwave.com as a partner and to have a home for my version of fun adult humor," said Belushi. "THE GREEDY SHOW will feature the greediest people you know. It's an exciting ensemble with humor you can't find anywhere else. Stupid yet smart, greedy and cheap." Rob Burgess, chairman of shockwave.com, said, "We want shockwave.com to be a riot. Jim's outrageous sense of humor and team of talented actors and writers is a welcome addition to our line-up." Belushi joins shockwave’s already super-sized talent team, which includes comic book legend Stan Lee, Oscar nominated directors David Lynch and James L. Brooks and comedic game show host Ben Stein.
