Get Your Adult Swim Friday Night Fix on Internet
Frantic for an Adult Swim fix on Friday when the popular late night cartoon block for adults does not air? Well now you can access them on AdultSwim.com, the online adjunct to Cartoon Network’s late night sister network of animation for adults. Adult Swim’s Friday Night Fix launches Sept. 16, 2005, offering select Adult Swim content via the Internet. Visitors to AdultSwim.com will be able to watch full-length episodes of selected Adult Swim original comedies, like AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE, ROBOT CHICKEN and SEALAB 2021 online, each week.
Adult Swim’s Friday Night Fix’s lineup of Adult Swim shows is available from 11:00 pm-6:00 am every Friday. Episodes will refresh weekly and will include favorite episodes of current series, fan requests and some previews of episodes scheduled to debut the following Sunday.
“Building on the success of our message boards and the recently launched Adult Swim Fan Collective, Adult Swim’s Friday Night Fix is our latest effort to offer our fans compelling content and increased choices,” said Paul Condolora, vp/gm, Cartoon Network New Media. “With Adult Swim’s Friday Night Fix, we’re upping the ante by giving the most devoted members of our community the chance to check out some of their favorite shows through their broadband connection. In addition to new episodes, we’ll show fan favorites and add some rarely seen archival episodes of shows like Space Ghost Coast to Coast to the mix each week.”
AdultSwim.com recently launched the Adult Swim Fan Collective, a social network that allows members to create personalized online profiles, blog and meet new friends. More than 70,000 members have joined in less than one month. In addition to show clips, games, behind-the-scenes blogs and information from Williams St. staffers and the ever-popular message boards, AdultSwim.com plans to add ring tones and additional downloadable music in the near future.
