Universal and Working Title have snatched up the rights to commercial director Gary Shore's THE CUP OF TEARS Internet short/trailer, reports HEAT VISION. The short combines samurais and spaceships.

Shore has written a treatment for a feature, which the studios will hand over to a writer to pen a screenplay. Shore is set to direct.

Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan and Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin and Keith Redmon will produce. Shane Whelan and Louis McConkey are the exec producers.
