Web hit, THE ANNOYING ORANGE, will be coming to TV, reports Deadline.com. Creator Dane Boedigheimer will work with The Collective on the project. MONSTERS VS. ALIENS co-director Conrad Vernon will exec produce and PINKY AND THE BRAIN writer Tom Sheppard will pen the first six episodes. Malcolm McDowell will lend his voice.

The series, which features an orange with human eyes and mouth who is determined to annoy every fruit around him, has over half billion views and is the eighth most subscribed channel on YouTube. Seven million fans follow it on Facebook and the ANNOYING ORANGE app ranks in the iTunes top 10.
