Amit Desai To Manage DC Franchises

Warner Bros. has promoted Amit Desai to the role of svp franchise management for DC Entertainment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In his new role he will oversee the franchise plans for all DC properties and grow cross-promotional support over all Time Warner divisions.

Prior to the new role, he served as Warner Home Video's head of non-theatrical family and animation business, where he increased revenue 45%. Before Warners, he worked for Disney on brand management and marketing.

Desai will report to John Rood, evp sales, marketing and business development.
