Innamation Films Signs “Fleming” Scribe For Christmas Rescue Rewrite

Innamation Films has hired Damian Stevenson to pen a screenplay re-write for THE CHRISTMAS RESCUE, the Los Angeles animation companys first full-length, direct-to-video feature.

Stevenson recently made headlines for selling his screenplay FLEMING, a biopic on James Bond creator Ian Fleming, to Warner Bros. for an undisclosed sum.

THE CHRISTMAS RESCUE tells the story of a trio of woodland friends that band together to save Christmas by finding Santa when he is swept off course during a storm, said Brian Panzer, president and project producer/director/writer. We were looking to bring in a writer that could further develop the bond between the characters and, based on Damians work, we feel he can do that.

Hiring a writer of Damians caliber underscores our commitment to working with top creative talents to bring our stories to life, continued Panzer. As we move toward the casting process and ultimately distribution, we will continue to look for talent and partnerships that will add value to the Innamation Films brand.

Innamation Films is looking at a fourth quarter 2006 date for the films direct-to-video release. Other properties on the companys development slate include a re-telling of LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD and GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS.

Innamation Films (www.innamationfilms.com) was founded by Panzer, an American Academy of Art graduate, in 2003, specializing in creating family-friendly 3D animation. Panzer previously founded DARKMOON Studios, which did 3D animation, modeling and website design for corporate clientele.
