In 2006, Universal Studios and Imagine Ent. produced the 2D animated CURIOUS GEORGE, which starred Will Ferrell. The film earned $58 million in the United States. A direct-to-DVD sequel CURIOUS GEORGE 2: FOLLOW THAT MONKEY! followed in 2009.
Illumination Ent. is also developing WHERE'S WALDO?, DR. SEUSS' THE LORAX and a DESPICABLE ME sequel.
